The pandemic has often been called the big pause. A time where people were able to slow down long enough to see what was and wasn’t working in their lives.

Today’s guest Dr Judith Simon had the revelation that it was time to move beyond academia. She embarked on coaching to support that transition and stop the slip back into bad working habits.

In this episode we talk about:
- The emotional journey that actually had to happen before interviewing for new positions so that she didn’t have the ‘one foot in and one foot out’ syndrome.
- How she defined her career values and used them as a template for fulfilment in the transition from postdoc to medical writer.
- How she used her basic need for connection to others to create a great work-life balance.
